Windancer Weimaraners

As if horses weren’t enough, we are also involved with what we think are the greatest breed of dog this side of heaven.

The Weimaraner is, I think, the smartest purebred dog. They are a special breed that easily becomes a member of your family. And, if not disciplined and trained correctly can easily become the terror of the household. Because of their intelligence, they are easily bored if they don’t have a job about the house.

Weimaraners are a versatile breed that are used as pointing dogs to hunt birds, as retrievers for hunting waterfowl, and in the west they are often used as big game pack dogs, and in Europe, they are used to hunt boar, and Roebuck

At Shadowdance we have developed a line of Weimaraners specifically for bird hunting, field trial, and hunting test competition.

In our kennel we presently have Field Champion (FC) Windancer Izzy Von Reiterralm. Izzy was the 2004 American Field Weimaraner National Shooting Dog Champion. And as of June had the highest number of AKC Weimaraner field trial points so far for 2007 making her the number one Weimaraner All Age/Gun Dog in the US .
